Everything you thought you knew going into this book? Just throw it out the window. This book takes you on another adventure. This time? Your heart breaks (Imposter didn't break my heart with all those girls being poisoned. I'm terrible, I know.) You are on a rollercoaster of emotion.I mean, I loved The Royal Trials: Imposter. Seeker?JUST AS GOOD. (*whispers* Maybe a little bit more, but don't tell Tate I said this...)Holy cow. You sit back after reading it. You have to stop and think about it, you can't go on.You feel like you've just had a wonderful fulfilling dinner, but at the same time, your brain feels like it's going to explode.So...Raise your hand if you have ever felt this way before about reading a book:Loved that the book sucked you in. 🙋‍♀️Ignored your crumb-snatchers. 🙋‍♀️Ignored your partners. 🙋‍♀️Ignored your phone. 🙋‍♀️Ignored your obligations/responsibilities. 🙋‍♀️Your brain exploded. 🙋‍♀️Left you wanting more. 🙋‍♀️Left you on a cliffhanger & wanting to pull your hair out. 🙋‍♀️If you've raised your hands to any of those and want more? Then this the book for you!I simply cannot wait for book three!

Starting with book one, Imposter, James has been throwing some plot twists and surprises at us. My major critique for the first was that the surprises just didn't surprise me.Honestly, the series, so far, is following a bit of a predictable pattern where the big reveals don't make my jaw drop. If you're an avid reader of fantasy, I'm doubtful that you'll be surprised either.THAT BEING SAID, I still really enjoyed Seeker. There's something fun about James' stories even in the midst of their danger, magic, and angst. Rybet/Callaluna is in the middle of a situation that's been building up for decades, and she's undeniably in over her head. She still has her moments of sass and independence, where the streetwise kid who was raised in the Pond shines through and takes the lead. I love the ways her true self sneaks out even when she's dripping in jewels and satin. I act. James is also embracing the typical path of her story, and it really did make me laugh out loud when other characters reveal that they've figured out things that are total "jaw droppers" to even Rybet/Calla.The guys are in all different places when it comes to this relationship; even though they're brothers, or perhaps BECAUSE they're brothers, the idea of sharing isn't going on smoothly as the HEA lovers would hope. I think it's all going to work out in the end; there's some drama towards the end of the book that I think will have them all reevaluating their priorities and who/what they really want.Overall, Seeker was a fun return to Calla's world. There's some big action in store for book three, and hopefully more steam ahead as well.

Holy cliffhanger batman! That might be the most cliffhangery cliffhanger I've ever encountered. And I pretty much loved it.Tate James proved with her Kit series that she is an author to be reckoned with. She has this amazing talent for telling stories that are so gripping you forget the real world. I started this book late in the evening and before I knew it 3 hours had passed.I adore Rybet. She's such a strong, independent character. I love how she seriously does not want to be a hero but she can't stop herself from saving everyone when trouble arises. The guys as a whole got on my nerves this book with their over-the-top jealousy issues (I'm looking at you, Zan).Besides the guys having their heads shoved up their rear ends (still you, Zan) and that cliffhanger, this was one of the best RHs that I've read. I love everything TJ writes and I can't wait for the next installment.

Rybet Waise? Lady Callaluna? Calla, Lo, Luna. Zan, Lee, and Ty. Princes Alexander, Louis, and Thibault. Seems everyone is keeping secrets. And now Prince Alexander has broken an oath and died, yet somehow he lives. Rybet doesn't understand what has happened and there's no time to stop to figure out what has happened because The Royal Trials continue. The second trial is a quest to find the missing crown of Queen Ophelia. The crown that's been missing since her death seventeen years ago. Once away from the palace, Rybet not only faces the other ladies but magical storms, mutated humans/animals and gods wanting to kill her or toy with her. Then there are the three princes whom all want her heart.Spectacular! Such a fun adventure. This book has it all; intrigue, danger, love, sexy times, heartbreak. Emotions and answers! It's such a rewarding read. Tate James is an amazing writer. Her characters, her stories are among the best of today's fiction in any genre, definitely at the top of the RH world. Her lead females are beautiful, strong, sassy, sarcastic, smart, sometimes selfish, always relatable. They are surrounded by secrets and are bombarded by the world. They own their choices and learn to rule their world with a little help from the sexy, adoring men by their sides. Rybet has a strong sense of honor and justice yet she's swayed by a pretty dress and hot water. I love this girl. One minute she's plotting against the crown, the next she's jealous as one of the girls admire one of her guys. My kind of girl! And the guys are all yummy. Her stolen moments with each one were perfect. How could she be expected to choose? The conflict over her affections is real. This storyline advanced more than I could have ever imagined. One expected development but so many surprises. I never expected to learn so much and yet need so much more. Then that cliffhanger. Brilliantly cruel. I can't wait for more!
